I don't like to read top!Kurt fics. It's the ultimate truth. 


I adore bottom!Kurt to pieces, and I can see him as a dominant and demanding sub, but not really as a top. 


Other people might disagree, but hey, this is just what I like.


The problem is, I'm a major, major Klaine shipper. And I read Klaine fics pretty much everyday. And somehow, a large majority of the Klaine fandom seems to favour bottom! Blaine recently, and I just can't tell you how many fics that I've read which had me wincing in the end when it turned out that it was a top! Kurt fic....*wails in despair* 


I can still accept switching! fics, but if it's a firmly top!Kurt/bottom!Blaine Klaine fic, then sorry, but I've got trouble swallowing that fact. Some fics are helpful enough to put up warnings, and I'm grateful to the authors for it and will  mostly skip reading the fic. 


I've tried, trust me, I've tried, to read top!Kurt Klaine fics, but it just leaves me a wincing and whimpering mess. Not because I think that Kurt can't be a top, but more because of the fact that I can't think of Blaine as a bottom. Bottom! Blaine is just an idea that escapes me, and I treat it like a plague, to be avoided at every moment possible. 


Until now, I think there are only less than ten fics that feature top!Kurt which I read and absolutely adore. They are mostly in the Puck/Kurt, Kurt/Finn fandom, (in which in the Puckurt fandom, those authors are the only ones who could write top!Kurt and I would read it) but there are one or two in the Klaine fandom too (in which these are just so well written that I can actually overcome my bottom!Blaine disdain....).


But aside from these anomalies, I really just freaking love top!Blaine, and since I already am obssessed with bottom!Kurt, the top!Blaine + bottom!Kurt combination just makes it my ultimate Glee fandom pairing. <3


So sorry, but I don't see me reading any bottom!Blaine Klaine fics in the near future.....Perhaps in a million years or so...O____o

I've noticed this becoming an issue in the fandom. They seem pretty interchangeable, but that's just me.

I don't care, as long as they're having sex. Woo!

Haha, I guess it's just a weird kink of mine, preferring top!Blaine. I do read switching stories though, and I've also read some bottom!Blaine ones that are just really, really good and loved them.

I guess the main problem is my weird interest + sometimes bottom!Blaine is written as too much of a submissive that it feels sort of OOC, and I can't relate that kind of personality to something that canon Blaine would have, that's why I don't like them.

But hey, free will and all that, so I don't really mind other people liking bottom!Blaine. I just wished that sometimes authors won't forget reminding people in the headers what kinda dynamics are in the stories, and I get blindsided suddenly by a writhing + moaning Blaine bottoming for Kurt. *blushes*

And yeah, despite my kink, as long as there is sex + the sex is hot, then I'll be WOOOOOO0-ing along for the ride!! XD

I worry more about characterizations than I do positions. That does more to derail a fic for me.

Oh yeah, tell me about it. Even though I adore top!Blaine/bottom!Kurt, sometimes the characterizations are just so OOC that I just cringe when I read them. *shudders*

Good thing that there are just sooooo many amazing, amazing authors in the fandom to make up for it~! =)

I totally agree! I feel exactly the same way. I'll be reading a really great fic, and be totally into it, and it's heating up... and then it turns out it's a bottom!Blaine fic, and I just have to skim the sex scene instead of reading it because it just really really doesn't work for me. -_- ::sigh::

On that note, do you have any really good bottom!Kurt fics you can recommend?

Oh, I'm glad someone else feels the same way~! =) I just LOVE bottom Kurt, for whatever weird reason, but also mainly because I love top!Blaine in the Klaine pairing~

You can take a look through my memories, I haven't finished sorting through them yet, but most of the sorted NC17/R rated fics are all bottom!Kurt, as are the 3/More-some fics...XD

I don't think it's weird - I think it fits their personalities. I mean, Kurt's the type to want to be pampered and taken care of, and Blaine's the type who's eager-to-please and wants to do everything for the other person. So I think they fit naturally into bottom and top roles, respectively. ^^; But that's just my own speculation.
